STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

Improve on public sector relations and create awareness:

a.    Position SAIBPP as the best and relevant organisation of choice in the transformation of the industry.
b.    Support and assist in the effective practical implementation of government programs.
c.    Build better relations with SOEs, government departments, and DFIs.
d.    Partner with eThekwini Municipality and other government organisation in the region to prioritise access to opportunities for transformed business members.

Involve more private sector industry players to take membership:

a.    Assist private sector players to achieve their transformation goals with ease through partnerships and working with SAIBPP.
b.    Work closely with other industry bodies (i.e. WPN, SAPOA) to develop networks.
c.    Utilise the national supplier database to enhance/retain corporate members.

Provide meaningful value proposition to members in general:

a.    Continue to facilitate relevant networking opportunities.
b.    Promotion of skills development and partnership initiatives.
c.    Working with appropriate organisations to facilitate access to economic opportunities for members.
d.    Holding events focussed at branding the organisation to all, including varsity students.
e.    Communicate effectively and efficiently to our members and industry players.
f.     Achieve financial stability and sustainability through the value proposition.

Industry talent identification and retention and transformation promotion through:

a.    Creation of engagement platforms where members and potential members can register their business interests which can be linked to the SAIBPP national database.
b.    Focusing on building better relations with the tertiary institutions (UKZN and DUT) that are in the province and forge a partnership with SAIBPP.
c.    Work closely with the Durban Chamber of Commerce in information sharing and promoting transformed entities in the region.

The SAIBPP KZN Committee will consist of the following sub-committees
